Folarin Dalley International College, Abeokuta was founded in 2001 by Late Dr. Barrister (Chief) Gbenga Dalley. It is co-educational with both day and boarding facilities. Day students who are in need of transport facility are provided. In 2006, the College started presenting candidates for both West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) conducted by WAEC and Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by NECO. The College hostel is located within the College premises to facilitate access to the College classrooms and hall. In addition, time and energy are saved. Also, unnecessary risk on the road is avoided. The hostel has four supervisors (two house-masters and two house – mistresses) and three female cooks who have requisite qualifications and trainings for the job. All of them reside in the hostel. The cooks ensure that delicious break – fast, lunch and supper are provided for the boarders at the specified times of the day. There are some day students who take interest in eating lunch with the boarders. The supervisors ensure that the boarders keep to the rules and regulations of the hostel at all times. The daily activities begin at 5. 00a.m when the rise – up bell is rung. Prayers follow immediately. Therefore, beds are laid after which they bathe. By 6.00am, they go for morning prep. The breakfast bell is rung at 7.00am. Assembly begins at 7.40a.m while classes start at 8.00a.m. Lunch time is 2.00p.m while classes end at 4.00p.m. Between 4.00p.m and 5.00p.m, siesta is observed. From 5.00p.m to 6.00p.m boarders engage in sporting activities – football, hand- ball, badminton and table – tennis. Evening prep. begins at 6.00p.m and ends at 8.00p.m when supper is eaten Thereafter, they listen to the news or watch the television till 9.15p.m. the second session of the evening prep. is observed from 9.15p.m to 9.55p.m. At 10,00p.m prayers are offered and the light – out bell is rung..
At the Junior Secondary section, subjects offered include English Language, Mathematics, Yoruba, Basic Science and Technology, Pre-Vocational Studies, Religion and Value Education, Cultural and Creative Art, French Language and Business Studies. The Senior Secondary Section has three departments: Science, Arts and Commercial. The five core subjects which are compulsory are English Language, Mathematics, Civic Education, Computer Studies and Photography. Other subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Biology, Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Yoruba Language, Government, C.R.K. The College adheres strictly to the educational policy of Ogun State Government with regard to school calendar. The academic session which is made up of three terms, runs from September of each year to the July of the following year..
Admission is carried out through entrance examination which is conducted in three batches (April, May and June) every year. The first batch is the Scholarship Examination in which outstanding candidates are given full or partial scholarship depending on how good the candidates performances are.
